Hello everyone.
For those of you who fancy a challenge here is mine to you. This is a tutorial on a Kaliedoscope.
It's a very simple one, and the mods have tried this tut first to see if it makes sense lol.
This is a screen shot of how your buttons should be placed. This is an easier way then writing down the order and trying to describe the placement of them.
Yes I know I'm being lazy lol, but it's quicker OK.
Now you'll need an image that is a transparent gif. It will need to be 200x200 in size.
You can snag the boxes I've made or you can make your own.
Here is a tip for the next section
While you are putting in the numbers and placements in the sub containers, try putting a frame around the one you are working on and preview it to see exactly where it's placed. This might give you an idea of how these kalieds are made.
Now I'm going to give you the numbers to put into the relevant containers.
Positioned Container #1
Set all edges to 20
All Frames are Grooved width 3
Positioned Container #2
Set Position & width to center distance 0
Specified size 400
Set position & height to top 60
Specified size 400
Sub Container #1
Set Position & width to center distance 100, Specified size 200
Set Position & height to center distance 0, Specified size 200
The first background is scrolling Left at 40 pixels per second, 1 pixel per move & set at fast scroll, Put a check in the layer with other objects box
The Horizontal spacing needs to be 200 the others stay at 0
The 2nd background is scrolling Right at 40 pixels per second, 1 pixel per move & set at fast scroll, Put a check in the layer with other objects box
Horizontal spacing needs to be 200 and the horizontal start needs to be 200
Now try putting a frame around this container to see where it is, but remember to delete it before you send it in
Sub Container #2
Set Position & Width to center distance -100, specified size 200
Set Position & Height to center distance 0, specified size 200
The first background is scrolling Right, same settings as background 1 in Sub container #1
The 2nd background is scrolling left, same settings as background 2 in Sub container #1
Sub Container #3
Set Position & Width to center distance 0, specified size 200
Set position & Height to center 100, specified size 200
The first background is scrolling up at 40 pixels per second, 1 pixel per move & set at fast scroll. Put a check in layer with other objects box.
Vertical spacing at 200, all the others at 0
The 2nd background is scrolling down, 40 pixels per second, 1 pixel per move & set at fast scroll. Put a check in layer with other objects box.
Vertical spacing needs to be 200 and the vertical start needs to be 200
Sub Container #4
Set Position & Width to center distance 0, specified size 200
Set Position & Height to center -100, specified size 200
The first background is scrolling down, same settings as background 1 in sub container #3
The 2nd background is scrolling up, same settings as background 2 in sub container #3
Make sure that your last frame is positioned correctly, and that it is pulled out slightly from the last background. This makes sure that you have a frame around your kalied and not around one of the sub containers.
Insert your message area and MAKE SURE YOU PULL IT OVER TO THE LEFT.
The margins for this stat are set at
Left 80
Right 80
Top 500
Bottom 80
The top setting is 530 because it takes into account my positioned container set at 20, and my 2nd Positioned container height set at 400 & 60 from the top.
So I added up 20+400+60= 480 I then added another 50 so I got some space between my kalied and my message
Right that's it remember to add your ticker, sound and loading message.
Have fun and any questions ask Jimbo lol
Only kidding Pops
